A thorough update to come later.
It's been raining for three days now. The kids and I are both sick of being cooped up in the house, even if one of the days was spent cooped up in the shore house. This weekend's family portrait was rained out, but I did manage to get my BIL and SIL's engagement pictures done. I'm very pleased with the results, but the lack of reaction from the happy couple puzzles me, so I'm not sure that they liked the end result. I did my best and I'm learning, that's all I can say.
Katie and Jonathan had a fun weekend hanging out with their cousins, Vincent and Sophia. Vincent and Sophia are Shawn's stepbrother's kiddos, and Sophia is 11 days older than Katie, and Vincent is a few months younger than Jonathan. Their momma is a devoted reader of this blog, so I hasta give a shout out to my girl (Hey Lenore!) and put up some of the sweet pics I shot of her beautiful babes this weekend. Enjoy!
So what's a mom to do with two bored kids on a chilly, rainy Thursday?
First, collect every bed pillow, couch cushion and throw pillow and pile them up in the living room and let the kids make a pillow mountain to climb on:
When that gets old, play dress up. YES, BOYS CAN PLAY, TOO!!!!
Now they're watching Annie and lounging on the semi-collapsed pillow mountain.
I apologize for the somewhat crappy photo quality. I've been having quite a time with my camera since I dropped it the cruise. It hasn't been right ever since. The image quality has diminished and I spend a lot of time deleting blurry photos. It has been quite frustrating. It is the reason I have been slacking in my role as official photographer of this household. I inquired as to the cost of getting it repaired, and at $135 bucks, plus shipping costs, it just doesn't seem worth it given the camera is almost two years old. Kodak also offered a trade in deal where you can pay $279 for a refurbished upgraded model of my camera, but I vowed not to waste another dollar on a point and shoot after I got this camera. I want a digital SLR so bad but we have a billion other more important expenses we need to take care of right now. So, until I win the lottery or a rich relative leaves me a ton of cash, I have to deal.
But, anywho, hope you enjoy the photos of the kiddos having fun on their rainy day. It sure warms my heart to hear them laughing and having fun.
